Susan M. Schlag, MS, LMFT, Co-Owner

Susan is a licensed Marriage and Family therapist in California specializing in providing trauma informed therapy services to children and families. She received her Master’s of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University – Dominguez Hills in 2008. Over the past 10 years, she has obtained extensive experience working with children, adolescents, couples and families in community mental health and private practice settings.

She is a TF-CBT certified supervisor and also trained in MAP and AFCBT evidenced based practice therapy models. Her areas of special interests include working with Military families, adoptive/foster families, individuals and couples dealing with fertility issues, breast cancer patients and survivors, life transitions, interpersonal relationships and trauma/PTSD. She has been a member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) since 2006, served on the Board of the Long Beach/SouthBay chapter as Vice President of Membership and is a military family life consultant.

She works from a family systems approach and utilizes mindfulness and client centered techniques to empower individuals and families to reach their full potential.
