Anne Case, MA, APCC, MT-BC

Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor

Board-Certified Music Therapist

Anne Case is a Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor and Board-Certified Music Therapist who brings a creative and supportive approach to her work with children and adults. She received her bachelor’s degree in music and later a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in music therapy from Lesley University. Anne has clinical experience in psychiatric hospital, school, and residential treatment center settings. With a passion for facilitating growth, healing, and creative inspiration through the power of music, for over a decade she also worked in music education and youth development programs, and most recently, as a music therapist. She is currently training in methods of guided imagery and music.

Anne often works with clients who are curious about a creative approach or want to try something a little different in therapy. If a client is interested, Anne is open to bringing in music to support the therapy process. This could look like engaging in a guided imagery or relaxation experience with the support of recorded or live music. As a result, clients sometimes (re)connect with their strengths, internal wisdom, and healing potential in new and profound ways.

Anne believes that the client is the expert on their life, and each person holds the wisdom needed to move forward on their healing journey. In therapy jargon - she holds a humanistic, client-centered, eclectic, multimodal expressive arts, and transpersonal approach. She seeks ongoing training to bring a trauma-informed and multicultural lens, to strengthen anti-oppressive practices and support clients who experience minority stress and trauma or generational trauma. Anne is honored to walk alongside you and witness your journey of growth and healing.

Whether you have a particular goal or are curious about therapy and aren’t sure if it is for you or not, Anne welcomes you to contact her.  (BBS associate registration #14082, Supervised by Susan Schlag, LMFT)
